Call Professional Tree Service for Storm Cleanup
There are situations when a homeowner or amateur woodsman can safely perform tree removal. It is one thing to fell a tree when you have ideal conditions like no nearby dwellings or trees and when there are not electrical wires in the vicinity. However, sometimes it is best if you call a professional tree service company, such as Lucas Tree, for storm cleanup. Our neighbor found this out the hard way.
After a particularly nasty thunderstorm last summer, there were trees down everywhere and the power was out in our neighborhood. You could hear the droning sound of chainsaws almost immediately after the weather cleared. Chainsaws and gas powered generators, that is. Anyway, there is a stand of tall oaks and old growth pine on the property line between the next door neighbor’s house and ours. The storm had played havoc with those trees, and several big oaks had begun to fall and were leaning in a precarious teepee formation. They were also thoroughly entangled in an ancient wolf pine. I would not be surprised to hear that this storm had spawned tornadoes somewhere, it was a fierce one! Like my neighbor, I was out cleaning up debris when I heard him fire up his chainsaw. I was in the barn when I heard him start to make a cut, heard a giant snap and then a crash. The way saw had been whining before it cut off sounded like the chain was bound up in the log. I ran over to check on my neighbor and saw that his leg was pinned under a big oak that I could not have moved, even with my trusty peavey. I made the call to emergency services and silently vowed to call professional tree service for storm cleanup from that time onward.
